In January 2001 we went to Guatemala with papa, mama, Cris and Mono
to visit Guatemala City, Santiago de Atitlan, Antigua, and Puerto
Barrios. Mama was still recovering from her neck and shoulder problems.
The pictures were taken with a point-and-shoot camera. Not very good
results, but we had a great time.
(Gallery has 22 pix).

I couldn't go; I stayed in Guatemala City with an extremely upset stomach. We went on a walk on a trail through virgin rainforest. Unfortunately I didn't bring anything decent to take some pictures with.
Sharon and I were flying between Belize and San Salvador, and only minutes prior to landing in San Salvador there was a large earthquake that forced the airport to be temporarily closed, and diverted our flight. In center of this picture a volcano can be seen spewing smoke. This volcanic activity was related to the earthquake.
