This was my second
trip to Big Bend. In thanksgiving of 2000 Harold and I took our street
bikes and rode to the park, while Sharon and Marcia drove out in
Marcia’s little red convertible. We stayed at the Chisos lodge and did a
couple of the mountain hikes from there, including south rim. We also
visited Santa Elena canyon and the hot springs. After a few days in the
park, we went to Fort Davis and stayed at Indian lodge in the state
park. Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures of that.
(Gallery has 10 pix).

In this section, I started noticing that we were being followed by a bird. At first I thought that there were many birds in the area, but then it became obvious that this guy was following us.
This is the little bird that kept following us. Soon enough we figured out that he wanted some trail mix. When we stopped for a snack along the trail, I offered him some food. He was not shy about accepting it. My CBR is in the center, while Harold’s monster customised ZX-11 can be seen on the left.
